Department of Public Health Dentistry and Pedodontics, conduct oral health camp at Shanti Niketan Public School Gurugram

Department of Public Health Dentistry and Pedodontics, SGT University under the aegis of SGT Marketing and Admission team conducted school oral health examination activity on Tuesday at Shanti Niketan Public School Gurugram. The camp was organized under the guidance of Professor and Head Dr. Shourya Tandon. The Dental team was headed by Senior Lecturer Dr. Babita with 2 Postgraduates Dr. Parika (Pedodontics) and Dr. Diksha (Orthodontics) and four Interns (Priyanka, Pooja Verma Aishwarya Sharma, and Preeti Yadav), and one Attendant (Mr. Sunil). 108 students were examined from classes I to VI and Oral Health Education was imparted regarding the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through brushing techniques, models, and charts. The purpose of the Oral Health talk was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health care. At the end of the camp, the students were given a token of appreciation with relevant oral health messages as a source of encouragement and mode of reinforcement. Students who required dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental Hospital for further treatment.
