Faculty of Physiotherapy under the aegis of Institution’s Innovation Council, SGT University organized INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS- IMPLICATIONS FOR THE PHYSIOTHERAPY PROFESSION.

This event was organized on 22nd may, 2023 in SGT university by Association of Sports Health
and Fitness, , Faculty of Physiotherapy under the aegis of Institution’s Innovation Council, SGT
University, Gurugram, Haryana.
Honorable resource person Mr Sanyog Vyas was invited for the event and Pro Vice
Chancellor of SGT University Dr Atul Nasa was invited as Guest of Honour.
The program started with a guest receiving at the hospital auditorium at 10 am followed by a
lamp lighting ceremony with auspicious hands of the dignitaries Dr Atul Nasa , Dr Pooja Anand,
Dr Siddhartha Sen, Dr Sajjan and Dr Jaganjyoti Das.
Right after the lamp lighting ceremony, honorable dean of FPHY Dr. Pooja Anand was
invited on the stage to deliver a few words on the event.
Following the speech, honorable resource person Mr Sanyog Vyas was felicitated with a
sapling by Dean Dr. Pooja Anand and with a memento by Pro vice chancellor Dr Atul Nasa
respectively.
After the felicitation ceremony, Dr Atul Nasa was invited on the stage to share a few words.
Then the most awaited session started as Mr Sanyog Vyas occupied the stage and started
delivering his knowledge.
He enlightened the room with the prevailing topic on the disabled children and how they
can be included to fit in within the society through the medium of sports.
He shared recent laws about the different intellectual property rights including copyright
claim, patent registration, trademark registration.
Along with the knowledge it was included with many examples related to the healthcare
field.
Here students were asked to participate and experience the situation of training
programmes and shared alternative ideas of improvement in the training programme. He
showed the scope and role of patent and trademark registration in the Physiotherapy field.

Lastly the event was concluded with the vote of thanks given by faculty member Dr
Jaganjyoti Das.
Special thanks to all the advisors of the committee and all the members of the faculty of
physiotherapy for successfully coordinating this wonderful event.
