SGT University conducts an oral health screening program for 3 days at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Delhi.
The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted an oral health screening program for 3 days on 14th, 15th & 19th December 2022 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, School, Rohini, Delhi.
The outreach activity was organized in collaboration with the SGT Admissions Team.
The Dental team was headed by Dr. Vishal Sharma (Senior Lecturer, Department of Pedodontics) with Dr. Renu & Dr. Pravriti, postgraduate students from the Department of Orthodontics along with Interns Shiwani, Shalley, Shweta, Swati, Tanisha, Yashi, Savari, Shipra and Arshiya & attendant Mr. Darshan. A total of 1704 students including 950 boys and 754 girls from classes I- XII attending school in both shifts of morning and evening were examined for their oral health status. Oral health talk sessions were delivered each day, including the importance of brushing, the procedure of mouthwash usage, and oral hygiene instructions. Doubts regarding toothbrushing techniques, oral hygiene products, and questions raised by students during oral health talk sessions were also answered by the dental team. The official authorities of the school appreciated the team and expressed their wish to have more Health Camps with SGT University, Gurugram.
