Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences Organized a Workshop on “Tips and Tricks for Evaluation of Congenital and Acquired Ptosis. The objective of the workshop was to upgrade the skills of residents and faculty of Ophthalmology and Optometry in the evaluation of patients of ptosis comprehensively both in paediatric and adult age groups along with its management.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. M. Ejaz Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science.
He, along with A.K Khurana, Head of Ophthalmology Department, welcomed the guest speaker. The speaker was Dr. Urmil Chawla, Professor, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), PGIMS, Rohtak. She has got 20 Years of teaching and clinical experience. She is an Oculoplastic and Strabismus Specialist of national repute, having more than 70 publications in indexed journals. She has given many presentations on national and international forums, as guest faculty.
Total Participants in Hands-on Workshop were 65 out of which 19 were physically present and 44 were present online following COVID-19 guidelines The sitting arrangement for physically present students was according to the COVID-19 protocol. Physically present students were Dr. A.K Khurana, Dr. Harvinder, Dr. Harmjot Singh, Dr. Pavitra, Kavita Kumari, Ishika, Shivani Yadav, Narendra Kumar, Amit Kumar, Gyan Singh, Pooja, Anuradha, Bhagwati, Nikita, Mr. Salman, Mr. Surinder Bondwal, Surakshya Rajaure. Group Photographs were clicked with the Guest Speaker.
At the end of the workshop, Dean presented a vote of thanks to Dr. Urmil Chawla for her valuable inputs and time.
