Students showcase innovations in SGT University’s tech fest Synergy 22

Two days mega Techfest – Synergy 2022 started on Tuesday at SGT University, Gurugram. Professor Rakesh Sharma, Pro Chancellor, SGT University, and Professor OP Kalra, Vice Chancellor, SGT University welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Kumar Mahajan, Scientist and Advisor of Science and Engineering research board with plant sapling and University memento. Prof. Vinod Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Vikas Dhawan, Pro Vice Chancellor welcomed Dr. Hemant Gautam, Chief Scientist and Professor, Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology who graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Deans, Head of the Institutes, and various faculty members were present during the inaugural event.

Dr. Rajeev Mahajan, in his inaugural address, congratulated students for their innovative projects and motivated them for hard work and being creative. He said, “One should keep learning irrespective of the age and keep oneself updated with new technology”. He shared various anecdotes and experiences from his personal life focussing on future aspects of technological innovations.

The event is organised at various venues of university including A block, C Block, D Block and E block showcasing more than 150 innovative projects by 18 faculty. Street Plays were centre of attraction and delivering messages on various themes of social media and role of technology.

In A block, students of Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Forensic Sciences, Faculty of Fashion and Design and Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management along with various other faculty showcased their projects.

Students of Faculty of Commerce and Management, Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry and Faculty of Engineering displayed their projects in D Block. In C block, students from Department of paediatrics, Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry and Department of Special Education and various other medical department showcased their innovative projects.

Students of Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology created the setup of SGT Times News Channel and gave visitors and students the opportunity of news reading. This production setup was highly appreciated by honourable guests, dignitaries and university faculty and students.

Students and faculty members of different departments visited various stalls and gained knowledge and insights about new technological advancements and innovative and creative ideas and projects.
