SGT University Hosts Grand Launch of Dr. Gaur’s Books
SGT University proudly hosted a historic and inspiring book launch event featuring two remarkable works by veteran construction expert Dr. B.L. Gaur — “कैसे बने विश्वकर्मा” and “High Rise Building Construction.” This ceremony marked a significant occasion for the university, honoring decades of dedicated contributions to construction engineering and professional education.
The event began with a warm and gracious welcome by Dr. Shipra, followed by an auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. Distinguished guests, faculty members, and students from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture attended the launch with great enthusiasm.
Prof. (Dr.) Atul Nasa, Pro Vice-Chancellor of SGT University, referred to it as a “golden day in the history of the university.” He praised Dr. Gaur for his lifetime dedication to the field of construction engineering, noting that his knowledge and legacy will continue to guide future generations of engineers.
The event featured notable industry leaders, including Mr. Manoj Gaur, Chairman of Gaur Sons Group, and Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Director of SKA Group, who commended the books for their practicality, clarity, and relevance to contemporary construction practices. They emphasized that these works provide young engineers with valuable guidance that bridges the gap between theory and practice.
Former Vice-Chancellor of SGT University, Dr. Balvinder, highlighted Dr. Gaur’s extraordinary commitment to learning and teaching, even at the age of 89. He also discussed the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in modern construction, stressing the importance for students to adapt to evolving technologies while preserving fundamental engineering principles.
After the ceremonial unveiling of the books, Dr. B.L. Gaur shared his heartfelt message regarding the importance of continuous learning and professional ethics. He encouraged young engineers to remain curious and committed to innovation while honoring the legacy of India’s master builder, Vishwakarma.
The event concluded with an inspiring message from Padma Bhushan Shri Ram Bahadur Rai Ji, Chancellor of SGT University, who expressed pride in Dr. Gaur’s achievements and praised the university’s dedication to promoting knowledge-driven excellence.
