PM Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 Sets Guinness World Record
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), has set a Guinness World Record, making the 2025 edition a historic milestone in India’s education journey. According to officials, the eighth edition of the programme recorded 3.53 crore valid registrations, earning the recognition for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.”
On August 4, 2025, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Jitin Prasada formally received the Guinness World Record certificate on behalf of the government. The Ministry of Education has organised PPC annually in collaboration with MyGov since 2018, aiming to create an interactive platform for students, teachers, and parents to discuss exam-related stress and promote joyful learning.
“A matter of great delight and personal satisfaction to accept the Guinness World Record for ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw, and Shri @JitinPrasada. #PPC2025 has set a world record with 3.53 crore+ registrations and over 21 crore viewership on television,” Dharmendra Pradhan wrote on X. He congratulated students, teachers, principals, parents, and schools for their role in achieving this milestone.
This is the second Guinness World Record recognition during Pradhan’s tenure as a Cabinet Minister. He recalled previously presenting the record certificate for PAHAL — the world’s largest direct benefit transfer scheme for LPG — to PM Modi.
Pradhan described PPC as “a most-awaited interaction for our #ExamWarriors,” noting how it has evolved into a nationwide festival that not only addresses exam-related anxiety but also encourages emotional well-being and personal growth. “Hats off to PM Modi ji for envisioning such a holistic and celebratory approach to learning,” he added.
The Union Minister also expressed gratitude to the Guinness World Records team for acknowledging the impact of PPC in shaping young lives. He emphasised that the initiative reflects the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to promote holistic development and reduce academic pressures.
The 2025 edition of PPC also witnessed over 21 crore viewership on television, underlining its growing popularity and reach. Since its inception, the programme has brought together millions of students and educators, offering practical advice and motivation from the Prime Minister himself.
“Confident that Pariksha Pe Charcha, bringing the spirit of NEP 2020 into action, will be bigger, bolder, and better every year,” Pradhan remarked. With this recognition, PPC further cements its place as one of India’s most impactful educational outreach initiatives.
