The Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, in collaboration with the PSYCA Departmental Club and the SGT IMPACT Centre, organized a comprehensive Awareness Program on World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September 2025 at SGT University, Gurugram.

Guided by this year’s global theme, “Changing the Narrative on Suicide – Start the Conversation”, the initiative aimed to spread awareness about suicide prevention, encourage open dialogue around mental health, and promote a culture of empathy, resilience, and support across the university community.

Activities that Created Lasting Impact

The day witnessed a series of meaningful and engaging activities designed to touch hearts and minds:

  • Awareness Rally: Students carried placards and slogans across the campus, sending a powerful message about the importance of mental health and offering support to those in need.

  • Nukkad Natak (Street Play): One of the most impactful highlights, the performance captivated the audience while addressing sensitive aspects of mental health. It emphasized the value of family and peer support, resilience, and the courage to seek help without stigma, inspiring collective responsibility towards creating a compassionate society.

  • Poster-Making & Slogan-Writing Competitions: These creative contests offered students a platform to visually and verbally express their perspectives on mental health and suicide prevention.
