186 patients turn up as SGT University’s medicine faculty holds health checkup camp at Farukh Nagar

Gurugram, November 29

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram, today organized a health check up camp at Celeb Institute, Farukh Nagar under the outreach activities of the Community Medicine Department.

As many as 186 patients were examined and given treatment during the camp, said Dr Sansar Chand Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Twenty doctors, including five specialists and 15 interns, provided their services in the camp.

Patients of gynecological and obstetrics, ophthalmology, pediatrics and other specialties visited the camp for their checkup.

“Our community medicine department has been carrying out such camps on a regular basis. Hundreds of patients benefit from such camps,” said Dr Sharma.

A local woman who visited the camp for the treatment of her kid, said she was happy that doctors from the SGT Medical College and Hospital of the SGT University had come on their doorstep to examine patients and provide them treatment.

She described the initiative of the SGT University as a great act of philanthropy.
