FMMT Students Capture the Beauty of Amrit Udyan in a Photowalk Experience

The Faculty of Mass Communication & Media Technology (FMMT) at SGT University recently organized an exciting photowalk at Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan. This event provided students with a valuable opportunity to enhance their photography and visual storytelling skills in a real-world environment.

Exploring Nature’s Canvas

Amrit Udyan, formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, is famous for its expansive landscapes, intricate garden designs, and vibrant seasonal blooms. The photowalk aimed to inspire students to delve into outdoor and nature photography, encouraging them to experiment with composition, lighting, and framing to create visually captivating images.

Students immersed themselves in the art of photography, capturing delicate petals of rare flowers and framing the garden’s symmetrical pathways. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios, improving their ability to tell stories through visuals.

Blending Creativity with Digital Content

In addition to photography, students actively engaged in content creation for digital platforms. They produced dynamic reels and short-form videos that highlighted the beauty of Amrit Udyan while practicing mobile journalism and social media storytelling. This comprehensive approach not only enriched their creative portfolios but also prepared them for the rapidly changing demands of the digital media landscape.

A Step Towards Experiential Learning

This initiative emphasizes FMMT’s commitment to experiential learning by connecting classroom concepts with real-life applications. By tackling challenges such as variations in natural lighting and dynamic subjects, students developed critical skills essential for photojournalism, cinematography, and content creation careers.

The photo walk at Amrit Udyan was more than just an educational outing; it served as a platform for students to express their artistic vision, collaborate with peers, and forge a deeper connection with nature through their lenses. Such immersive experiences are crucial in shaping well-rounded media professionals equipped with both technical skills and creative ingenuity.

With this initiative, FMMT continues to empower its students to explore, create, and inspire—one frame at a time.
