Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra Reaches Faridabad: A Spiritual Celebration of Faith and Unity
The sacred land of Haryana witnessed a spiritual and historic moment as the Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra carrying the Holy Joda Sahib of Sarbansdani Dasam Patshah Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji received a grand welcome in Faridabad. The city glowed with devotion, faith, and unity as thousands of devotees gathered to witness this divine occasion.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini received the Yatra at Sri Guru Darbar Sahib Gurudwara, NIT-5, Faridabad, alongside Union Minister Sardar Hardeep Singh Puri. The Chief Minister honoured the Panj Pyaras and members of the Sant Sangat by presenting them with turbans. Before the Yatra’s departure, he offered prayers, bowed before the holy Joda Sahib, and participated in the ardaas ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister described Faridabad as the first stop of this great pilgrimage, which began in Delhi and will conclude at Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, Bihar. He said that the city has now been sanctified by the Guru’s divine presence, turning it into a sacred destination for devotees across India.
Saini also reflected on the teachings and sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who transformed the Khalsa into a symbol of courage and justice, and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, revered as the Mother of the Khalsa Panth. He added that the Haryana Government remains dedicated to preserving the Gurus’ legacy and has organized multiple state-level celebrations to honour Sikh heritage, including the upcoming 350th Shahidi Diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
The event was graced by dignitaries, including former Minister and MLA Mool Chand Sharma, Seema Trikha, Dr. Krishan Kumar, Rajiv Jaitley, Praveen Batra Joshi, and other officials. The Yatra marks a spiritual bridge from Delhi to Patna Sahib, symbolizing India’s timeless values of unity, devotion, and compassion.
