Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University organizes oral health screening and treatment program for the construction workers of Advance India Projects Limited

In continuation of our National Dentist Day Celebrations, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted an oral health screening and treatment program on Tuesday at AIPL Joy Central, Sector 65 Gurugram. The activity was organized in collaboration with Advance India Projects Limited for the construction workers at their sites in Gurugram. The team took initiated under the guidance of Professor and Head Dr. Shourya Tondan, headed by Associate Professor Dr. Sachin Chand and Dr. Raghvendra along with three post-graduate students, six interns, and two attendants. The department has been always trying to cater to oral health education and services to all the needy and especially by reaching their doorsteps for the same. A total of 101 patients including 97 males and four females were examined out of which 30 patients were provided treatment in the mobile dental van which includes 28 oral prophylaxis and two restorations. Patients who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental Hospital for further procedures. The general population gave positive feedback and appreciated the check-up and patient care provided by the Dental Team. Toothpaste samples Sensodyne toothpaste and parodontax toothpaste were distributed to the patients which were sponsored by GSK Pvt. India Ltd. The purpose of the Oral Health check-up was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health.
