Gurugram Gets Major Infrastructure Boost With Multi-Crore Projects

Gurugram is set to experience a significant infrastructure boost as Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced a series of development projects for the Badshahpur Assembly constituency. This announcement emphasizes Gurugram’s growing importance as a key contributor to the state’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.

During a public gathering in Kakrola village, the Chief Minister outlined plans that focus on road connectivity, urban infrastructure, water supply, and civic amenities. Officials report that development works worth over ₹15,000 crore have already been completed in the region over the past decade.

A major highlight of the announcement is the proposed upgrade of the Farrukhnagar–Gurugram road into a four-lane corridor, with an estimated cost of around ₹365 crore. This project will also include the construction of a Chandu bypass, aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving connectivity in the area.

Additionally, internal sector roads in New Gurugram will be widened to 24 meters wherever feasible. This step is expected to support the city’s rapid urban expansion and ensure smoother traffic flow.

To enhance basic infrastructure, a new water treatment plant will be established in Tikli village under the Mahagram Yojana. This initiative aims to improve the drinking water supply and sewerage services in nearby areas. Sewerage projects worth ₹88 crore are also set to be expedited in New Gurugram to address ongoing drainage and sanitation challenges.

The government has proposed establishing a cremation ground in Sectors 90 to 95, subject to land availability, to meet the needs of the expanding population. Additionally, new fire stations will be developed in Gurugram, Manesar, and Farrukhnagar to enhance emergency response services.

Further plans include maintenance work on 43 roads spanning over 113 kilometers, along with special repair projects for 11 roads. Rural pathways leading to agricultural fields will also be improved to support local communities.

An additional ₹5 crore has been allocated to expedite ongoing development works. Overall, these initiatives aim to improve connectivity, strengthen civic infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life in Gurugram’s rapidly growing urban landscape.
