India Condemns Pakistan’s Airstrikes on Afghanistan, Calls It Attempt to “Externalise Internal Failures”

India has strongly condemned Pakistan’s recent airstrikes on Afghan territory, which reportedly resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, during the holy month of Ramadan.

In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs characterized the strikes as Pakistan’s attempt to “externalize its internal failures” and reiterated India’s firm support for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Responding to media inquiries, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, “India strongly condemns Pakistan’s airstrikes on Afghan territory that have resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, during the holy month of Ramadan.” He added that such actions reflect Islamabad’s ongoing efforts to divert attention from its domestic issues. “It is yet another attempt by Pakistan to externalize its internal failures. India reiterates its support for Afghanistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence,” Jaiswal remarked.

Reports indicate that Pakistan conducted airstrikes targeting at least seven alleged militant hideouts inside Afghanistan. Islamabad claims these strikes were in retaliation for recent militant attacks within its own territory. Pakistani authorities asserted that at least 70 militants were killed during the military operation. In a statement to local media, Pakistan’s State Minister for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, defended the action, saying the country is taking necessary steps to protect its citizens. “Afghanistan has long been exporting terrorism. Pakistan is taking all necessary actions to secure the lives and property of its citizens,” Chaudhry told Geo News.

This development has heightened tensions in the region, raising concerns over civilian safety and regional stability. India’s strong response emphasizes its consistent stance on respecting national sovereignty and opposing actions that endanger innocent lives.
