India delivered an impressive all-round performance to defeat Namibia by 93 runs in a Group A match of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, marking their largest victory by runs in the tournament’s history. The game, held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, allowed India to reclaim the top position in the group standings, bolstered by a strong net run rate.
Batting first after Namibia won the toss and elected to field, India posted a challenging total of 209 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan gave the innings a powerful start, scoring 61 runs off just 24 balls and setting an aggressive tone with his stroke play. India recorded a remarkable powerplay score, immediately putting pressure on the Namibian side.
Hardik Pandya maintained the momentum with a vital late innings of 52 runs from 28 deliveries, helping India surpass the 200-run mark despite a brief slowdown in the middle overs.
