PM Modi Highlights Unity and Heritage in First ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of 2025

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 118th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ marking the first broadcast of 2025. During his address, PM Modi emphasized the importance of India’s cultural heritage, focusing on the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the role of youth in preserving traditions, and other key national achievements. 

Highlighting the Mahakumbh Mela as a symbol of “unity in diversity,” PM Modi praised the significant participation of youth in this historic religious event. He remarked, “When the younger generation connects with their heritage and traditions with pride, their roots grow stronger, ensuring a brighter future.”

 The Prime Minister described the Mahakumbh as an “unforgettable confluence of humanity, harmony, and equality.” He also compared similar festivals in different parts of India, such as the Pushkaram celebrations along rivers like the Godavari, Krishna, Narmada, and Kaveri in the south, showcasing how traditions unite the country across regions. 

PM Modi shed light on the digital transformation of the Mahakumbh this year, noting the extensive use of technology to enhance the event’s global reach and ensure smooth organization. He stated, “The digital footprint of this year’s Kumbh is a matter of pride for every Indian.” 

In addition to discussing cultural events, PM Modi highlighted achievements in other fields, including the success of ISRO’s docking mission and reflections on the first Lok Sabha elections and discussions in the Constituent Assembly, emphasizing their importance in shaping modern India.

The Prime Minister’s address reiterated the significance of Indian traditions in fostering unity and strengthening the nation’s identity. His words encouraged citizens, especially the youth, to actively participate in and celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage.
