Gurugram, February 2: The final day of the two-day 10th convocation ceremony of SGT University concluded with congratulatory remarks to the students by the Drug Controller General of India, Mr. Rajiv Singh Raghuwanshi, who emphasized the importance of honesty, hard work, and dedication for success in life. Mr. Raghuwanshi addressed the gathered students as the esteemed guest of SGT University, advising degree recipients to always respect their parents and teachers. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Prof. Rajbir Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. The two-day convocation ceremony witnessed the conferment of a total of 2008 degrees to students of SGT University, including 59 diplomas, 1401 undergraduate degrees, 524 postgraduate degrees, and 37 PhDs. Additionally, 92 meritorious students from various disciplines were honored with gold medals, and three individuals were also recognized with D.Litt. honorary degrees for their outstanding contributions in different fields. The formal inauguration of the convocation ceremony was started by the Chancellor of SGT University, Sh. Rambahadur Rai. The event was attended by various dignitaries including Chairperson of the Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla, Managing Trustee Mr. Manmohan Singh Chawla, Registrar Dr. Joginder Yadav, along with university officials, faculty members, students, and their parents. The Vice Chancellor of SGT University, Dr. O.P. Kalra, welcomed the guests and presented the university’s annual report. The ceremony also included the unveiling of the university’s souvenir. Degrees were conferred to students from different faculties including Medical, Dental, Allied Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Fashion and Design, Agricultural Sciences, Management and Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Education, Hotel Tourism Management, Science, and Mass Communication.
