The Faculty of Dental Sciences organizes a dental and medical camp at Suvidha Centre New Palam Vihar
The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University in collaboration with the SGT Publicity Team organized a dental as well as medical camp on Monday at Suvidha Centre New PalamVihar, Gurugram. The dental team took the initiative under the guidance of Dr. Shourya Tandon (Associate Dean and Prof. and Head). The dental team was headed by Dr. Ankita Yadav (Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Public Health Dentistry) along with 1 postgraduate student Dr. Preeti (Dept. of prosthodontics), 5 interns Gaurav, Amit, Ishan, Diksha, Livanshi, and Mr. Sunil (Attendant) accompanied us. A dental checkup of 35 individuals including 19 males and 16 females from different age groups was done. 15 individuals were provided essential treatment, including oral prophylaxis in the mobile dental van at the camp site. Positive feedback was obtained from many patients post-
treatment. However rigorous cases requiring complex treatment were referred to SGT dental college. All patients were given referral slips. The patients had ample opportunities to interact with the dental surgeons to learn about oral diseases. The Significance of upholding proper oral hygiene was communicated to the patients through verbal instructions. Furthermore, Individuals in need were provided with an oral hygiene package comprising toothpaste, a toothbrush, and mouthwash. In addition, Essential medications such as painkillers, antibiotics, and multivitamins were dispensed at the camp location With the involvement of every single member of the dental team and their enormous efforts, the motive of the dental camp was achieved to its maximum.
