Landslide Damages 30 Houses in West Sikkim

A massive landslide triggered by continuous rainfall damaged at least 30 houses and government quarters in Rimbi village of West Sikkim late Thursday night, officials said. The incident occurred in the Yuksom-Tashiding Constituency, where heavy rain has affected the region and caused significant damage to residential properties.

According to officials, the landslide struck the village during the night, damaging around 30 houses along with government quarters. The sudden movement of earth and debris affected several structures in the area, leaving residents concerned about further risks as rainfall continues.
