PARIDHANAM 2026: SGT School of Design Celebrates Creativity on the Runway
SGT University’s School of Design successfully hosted Paridhanam 2026, its annual flagship fashion event, on September 28, 2026, celebrating creativity, innovation, craftsmanship and the emerging talent of student designers.
Paridhanam provides aspiring designers with a platform to present their original collections and transform their concepts and inspirations into wearable art. The 2026 edition featured collections by 15 student designers, showcasing diverse themes, contemporary aesthetics, craftsmanship and innovative approaches to fashion design.
Adding a professional touch to the runway, 10 professional models participated in the showcase alongside interdepartmental student models. The runway presentation and choreography were directed by Dr. Bhurnesh, who conducted training sessions and guided students in professional ramp-walking techniques, stage presence and show choreography.
The event was organized under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Sukvir Singh Beniwal, Dean, School of Design and Convener of Paridhanam 2026. The event was coordinated by Ms. Tamanna Sharma and Ms. Vaani Walecha, with the dedicated efforts of the School of Design team contributing to its successful execution.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognizing students for their creativity, innovation, craftsmanship, design concepts and presentation skills.
Shruti secured the First Prize, followed by Latasha with the Second Prize and Apoorva with the Third Prize.
The special category awards recognized Khushi for Most Innovative Design, Khushyant for Most Creative Design, Sana with the Fashion Icon Award, Seema Nagar with the Excellence Award, and Muskan Gulia for Best Design Concept Award.
More than a fashion showcase, Paridhanam 2026 provided students with valuable exposure to the professional fashion industry while encouraging them to experiment, collaborate and push creative boundaries. The event reflected SGT University’s commitment to experiential learning and creating platforms where students can translate their artistic vision and technical skills into professional experiences.
