SGT University Hosts UDGAM Workshop on Turning Business Ideas into Viable Ventures
SGT University, through its Central Coordination Cell, in collaboration with the School of Commerce and Management, organized an insightful workshop under UDGAM – Unlocking Dreams, Growing Aspirations & Mentoring Innovators on September 25, 2026.
Titled “From Business Idea to a Viable Business Model,” the workshop was held at A 205, Rabindranath Tagore Building (A Block), SGT University. The session aimed to equip students with practical knowledge and tools to transform innovative ideas into sustainable business ventures.
The workshop was conducted by Mr Amit Singh, Founder of AI Praxis, Innovator and Educator, who guided participants through key aspects of entrepreneurship and business development. The session focused on Mastering Business Models, Revenue Models and the Lean Canvas, offering students a structured approach to evaluating and developing their business ideas.
Around 50 students and faculty members actively participated in the workshop. Through practical insights and discussions, participants explored the journey from identifying a business idea to developing a structured business model and assessing its commercial potential.
The session covered key stages including Business Idea, Business Model, Revenue Model, Lean Canvas and Business Viability. These concepts helped participants understand how an idea can be refined, tested and developed into a sustainable venture.
The workshop also encouraged students to approach entrepreneurship with a problem-solving and innovation-oriented mindset. By introducing them to practical business planning frameworks, the session provided participants with tools that can support the early stages of developing a startup or entrepreneurial initiative.
Through initiatives such as UDGAM, SGT University continues to provide students with opportunities to engage with industry experts, explore innovation and develop entrepreneurial capabilities. The workshop served as a platform for students to move beyond ideas and understand the strategic considerations involved in building viable businesses.
