Floral Holi with Radha-Krishna at SGTU: A Spectacle of Brij on Campus  

Gurugram – Holi’s joy, enthusiasm, and festive spirit came alive at SGT University as the campus celebrated “Phoolon Ki Holi” (Floral Holi) with Radha and Krishna. As Radha and Shri Krishna gracefully made their way from the gallery to the stage, the audience watched in deep devotion, eagerly awaiting a glimpse of them. When they reached the stage, an overwhelming wave of devotion, festivity, and celebration enveloped the crowd, lasting for hours. Everyone wanted to play Holi with Radha and Krishna, and soon, the entire campus was drenched in a shower of flowers.

Carrying forward its mission of “Educated India – Developed India & Healthy India,” SGT University reaffirmed its commitment to preserving India’s rich social and cultural heritage. The vibrant event showcased an explosion of culture, joy, youthful energy, and the spirit of Phagun (the spring festival). Students practiced for weeks to bring the essence of Brij’s Holi to life through mesmerizing performances.

The formal celebrations began at 11 AM and continued until the evening, enveloping everyone in the festive spirit. The university campus transformed into Brij, featuring an array of spectacular performances, including Madhuram Murti (Krishna’s divine form), Garaj-Garaj (traditional folk dance), Holi Banaras Ki (celebration of Holi in Banaras), Wangmagi Panchang (Manipuri dance), Aarambh Hai Prachand (Maharashtrian folk performance), Tamang Selo-Sanoma Sano (Nepalese folk dance), Dara Lo Gehe Re (Chhattisgarhi Holi folk song), theatrical acts, Maha Raas, Nai Naveli Naari (Haryanvi folk dance), Mohe Rang Do Laal (classical Holi song), Holi Ke Rang Ma (Gujarati dance), Balam Pichkari, Ja Re Hat Natkhat, and Brij Ki Holi.

The grandeur of the event attracted prominent international dignitaries, including a five-member delegation from the renowned Kent University, UK. The delegation comprised D. D. Rocha, Hannah McNorton, Professor Robert Green, Laura Charlton, and Dr. Nikhil Sengupta. Other distinguished guests included Reneta (CEO, Maxme Institute, Australia), Professor Manoj Kumar (MD, IEDUI), Mrs. Natasha Chopra (TC Global), Professor Myron Christodoulides (University of Southampton, UK), Dr. Ravikant Sharma (Research Scientist), and Prabhat Ranjan (Central Head, IHFC, IIT Delhi). Rachna Gupta, Judge of Custom Excise and Service Tax and Judicial Member of CESTAT, also participated as a distinguished guest.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust’s Chairperson Madhu Preet Kaur Chawla, Managing Trustee Manmohan Singh Chawla, SGT University’s Vice-Chancellor Dr. Madan Mohan Chaturvedi, Pro-Vice-Chancellors Dr. Atul Kumar Nasa and Dr. Poornima Balia Bantwal, and Registrar Dr. M. Ejaz Hussain.
