Harmanpreet Kaur Hits 7th ODI Century, Equals Mithali Raj’s Record and Crosses 4000 Runs
New Delhi, Jul 23 – Indian Women’s ODI team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur delivered a remarkable performance in the ongoing third ODI against England, smashing her 7th ODI century and scripting multiple records in a single innings.
The 36-year-old reached the three-figure mark in just 82 balls, a knock that featured 14 boundaries and plenty of resilience. Kaur battled back cramps in her 80s and required medical attention from physios, but returned to the crease to complete her well-earned ton.
This was her first ODI century of the year and her first since scoring an unbeaten 103 against South Africa on the 2024 tour. With this ton, she equals the legendary Mithali Raj for the second-most centuries (7) by an Indian in Women’s ODIs. Smriti Mandhana tops the list with 11 hundreds.
