Department of Public Health Dentistry, SGT University, holds medical camp at village Noorgarh.

The Department of Public Health Dentistry of Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University participated in Medical Hospital organised camp and conducted an oral health screening and treatment program on 8th February 2022 at village Noorgarh.

The Dental team was headed by Dr Sachin Chand along with 2 Postgraduates Dr Vipul (Endodontics) and Dr Kirti (Prosthodontics) and 6 Interns Mallika Rawat, Nayanika Batra, Manya Gupta, Nancy, Nikhil Kumar and Nikita Yadav) and 2 attendants – Sunil and Raj Kumar. Specialist Clinical support was provided by the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics and the Department of Prosthodontics. 171 patients were examined during this camp and 18 were provided dental treatment in the mobile dental van (17 Oral Prophylaxis and 1 Extraction). Patients who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT University for further procedures.

During this camp, oral health education was imparted to the people and proper brushing technique was demonstrated. The people of village Noorgarh were very happy with the way the Dental team heard and attended to their problems with compassion. The interns and postgraduates appreciated the opportunity provided to them to work in an outreach location and experience the working of the mobile dental van and expressed their wish to participate in such activities in the future.

 The purpose of the Oral Health check-up was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health
