India Defeat Pakistan to Enter U-19 World Cup Semifinals Unbeaten

India continued their dominant performance in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 with a convincing 58-run victory over Pakistan in the Super Six stage. The match took place at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and it was India’s final fixture in the Super Six round.

Batting first, the Indian team posted a competitive total of 252 runs, being bowled out in 49.5 overs. The innings featured steady contributions from the top order, along with a late surge from the middle and lower order, helping India cross the 250-run mark. Despite losing early wickets, India managed to rebuild their innings and accelerate towards the end.

In response, Pakistan struggled against India’s disciplined bowling and fielding. The Indian bowlers maintained consistent pressure, taking regular wickets and limiting Pakistan’s scoring opportunities. Eventually, Pakistan was bowled out for 194 runs, falling short of the target by 58 runs.

With this victory, India finished at the top of Group 2 and remained unbeaten throughout the Super Six stage. The result confirmed India’s place in the semifinals, where they will face Afghanistan. The other semifinal will feature Australia and England, who topped Group 1.

India last won the U-19 World Cup in 2022 and finished as runners-up in the 2024 edition. This current campaign has once again highlighted the depth of young talent in Indian cricket, with the team demonstrating consistency in both batting and bowling.

The Indian Under-19 side now moves into the knockout stage with strong momentum and confidence, aiming to secure a place in the final and add another world title to their record.
