Security Concerns for KKR vs LSG Match on April 6

While the IPL 2025 launches with a spectacular opening, KKR’s next home game against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 6 faces uncertainty due to security concerns. The match coincides with Ram Navami celebrations, and the Kolkata Police has expressed its inability to provide adequate security on that day.

Snehasis Ganguly addressed the issue, stating, “The police have informed us that they cannot provide security for the match on April 6. We have requested the BCCI to consider rescheduling the match, but we are still awaiting a final decision.”

According to reports by India Today and Aaj Tak, the BCCI is considering rescheduling or swapping matches to resolve the situation. IPL matches have often been shifted or adjusted in the past due to logistical reasons. A final decision is expected within the next two or three days.

With IPL 2025 kicking off in style, all eyes are now on how the BCCI and local authorities will handle the scheduling challenge for KKR’s match on April 6.
