Mumbai | June 26, 2025: Fresh off a record-smashing Season 2, the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has added Bollywood megastar Salman Khan to its roster—not as a player, but as the owner of the new New Delhi franchise, ahead of its highly anticipated third season.
With over 28 million TV viewers and a 47% surge in viewership from its inaugural edition, ISPL has firmly established itself as India’s biggest tennis-ball T10 cricket league, blending grassroots talent with the glamour of entertainment. The league, known for its carnival-like atmosphere, continues to bridge India’s passion for street cricket with professional exposure.
Salman Khan’s entry is being hailed as a game-changer, marking the league’s foray into the national capital while adding star power to its already explosive format.
“We’ve witnessed two phenomenal seasons, with record-breaking numbers across broadcast and digital platforms. The addition of superstar Salman Khan is the icing on the cake,” said Ashish Shelar, Asian Cricket Council member and ISPL Core Committee Member.
Backed by a core team including Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar, Shelar, Minal Amol Kale, and Suraj Samat, ISPL is fast becoming a cultural movement, giving India’s street cricketers a chance to shine on a national stage.
