Air India Extends Israel Flight Suspension Till July-End

Air India has extended the suspension of its flights to Israel until the end of July due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and uncertainties in the West Asia region. The airline had previously halted operations on the Tel Aviv-Delhi route until the end of June, but this restriction has now been prolonged as the situation in the region remains unstable.

A senior Air India official confirmed that this decision was made after a review of the current geopolitical conditions in West Asia. The airline is closely monitoring developments before resuming regular flight operations to Israel.

This suspension comes at a time when airlines worldwide are facing operational challenges due to the ongoing regional conflict. Rising fuel prices, restricted airspace access, and security concerns have significantly increased operational costs for international carriers operating in and around the conflict zone.

Although a ceasefire between the United States and Iran has been in place for some time, uncertainty in the region continues to affect international travel and aviation services. Consequently, several airlines have either suspended or reduced operations on routes connected to Tel Aviv.

The extended suspension has created difficulties for more than 40,000 Indians currently residing in Israel. Many Indian citizens, including workers and professionals, are facing challenges in traveling to India for personal, medical, or professional reasons. Limited flight availability has also led to higher ticket prices, adding to travelers’ concerns.

Passengers planning to travel between India and Israel are now relying on connecting flights through other countries, which increases travel time and expenses. Travel experts believe that airlines may continue to review their operations depending on how the regional situation develops in the coming weeks.
