The Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology organizes ‘MediAmaze-2023’

The two-day ‘MediAmaze-2023’ program, organized by the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology at SGT University, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing more than 25 universities and colleges. The event concluded on Friday with a remarkable display of talent and creativity by the participating students.

The program began with an inaugural ceremony that included the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome extended to the distinguished guests. Parakram Singh Shekhawat, senior anchor of Sansad Television, and Sourav Asija, creative director of One Short Film Production, graced the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honor respectively. The Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Professor Sushil Manav, and the Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. Vijay Sharma, welcomed the guests and presented them with saplings and mementos.

Throughout the event, students engaged in a diverse range of activities, including photography, ad mad show, dance competition, mono act, fashion show, street play, anchor hunt, singing, rap, short film, and documentary contests. Notable personalities such as Shashi Kumar Pandey, Associate Prof., Sarju Devi, HOD, CLC, Kranti Anand, HOD, Mass comm., and all the faculty members graced the event with their presence, adding to its grandeur.

Addressing the gathering, Parakram Singh Shekhawat praised SGT University for its efforts in providing students with state-of-the-art facilities and emphasized the significance of digital media in today’s era. Sourav Asija highlighted the potential of short films and encouraged students to consider pursuing a career in this field. Professor Sushil Manav underscored the importance of creativity and innovation in the present times and emphasized the opportunities available on the digital platform for students to showcase their talents.

On the final day of the event, a fashion show took center stage, captivating the audience with its theme ‘Be Bold for the Change.’ Participants skillfully showcased different costumes, highlighting the versatility and creativity within the fashion industry. The event recognized exceptional performances in various categories, including singing, documentary and short film competitions, street play, photography, anchor hunt, dance, mono-act, and ad mad show.

The successful conclusion of ‘MediAmaze-2023’ marked a significant milestone for the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology at SGT University. The event provided a platform for students to exhibit their talents and fostered an environment of healthy competition. Participants left the venue with a sense of accomplishment and a renewed determination to excel in their chosen professions.
