Neeraj Chopra, a two-time Olympic medallist and India’s star javelin thrower, has embarked on a new journey as he tied the knot with Himani in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family. Neeraj shared the joyous news on Instagram, posting heartfelt pictures from the event along with a touching note:

Through the post, Himani, who is currently pursuing her studies in the USA, was revealed to be Neeraj’s life partner. According to Neeraj’s uncle, a reception party is also planned to celebrate the marriage.
Professional Updates: A New Era for Javelin in India
On the professional front, Neeraj Chopra is taking significant steps to elevate the sport of javelin in India. He announced the introduction of a Continental Tour Javelin-Only competition, which has been endorsed by World Athletics and the Athletics Federation of India (AFI). Though the exact date is yet to be confirmed, reports suggest that the event will take place in May. The competition will feature top men’s and women’s javelin throwers, with Neeraj himself headlining the event.
Speaking about this initiative, Neeraj expressed his excitement:
“It has been a longstanding dream of mine to organize and bring a world-class javelin competition to India. With the help of JSW Sports and the Athletics Federation of India, we are making this happen. I am sure that my fellow athletes and the fans in India will create an experience that will be spoken about for a long time. I am excited to see how big we can make this.”
