Rinku Hooda’s Gold Medal Performance
Leading the charge was Rinku Hooda, who secured gold in the men’s javelin throw F46 category with a powerful throw of 60.26 meters. His victory follows his recent success at the 22nd National Para Athletics Championships in Goa and a silver medal at the fourth Asian Para Games, showcasing his consistent top-tier performance.
Javelin Dominance and Medal Sweeps
India’s dominance extended to the combined javelin F12/F37/F42/F43 category, where Pushpendra Singh won gold with a throw of 57.57 meters. Mohit took silver with a throw of 45.45 meters, and Jaswant claimed bronze with 45.94 meters, resulting in a complete podium sweep. In the men’s javelin F40/F41 category, Ritender added another gold with a best throw of 30.33 meters.
Success in Discus and Track Events
In the men’s discus throw F56/F57 event, Atul Kaushik won gold with a throw of 43.92 meters, while Ram Kumar Yadav secured silver with an effort of 30.59 meters. Meanwhile, on the track, Dilip Mahadu Gavit clinched gold in the men’s 400m T47 event, finishing in 48.78 seconds. Jasbeer and Bhavikkumar Dineshbhai followed with silver and bronze medals, respectively.
