SGT University Celebrates Sporting Excellence And Student Achievements
SGT University recently celebrated teamwork, sportsmanship, and excellence through the successful organization of the Inter-Faculty & VC Cup Cricket Tournament 2026. The tournament ran from April 17 to May 14 and brought together students, faculty, and non-teaching staff in a vibrant display of athletic talent and unity across the campus.
The event saw participation from more than 54 teams competing in multiple categories, making it one of the university’s largest sporting engagements of the year. The tournament created an energetic atmosphere throughout the campus, promoting leadership, discipline, healthy competition, and team spirit among participants.
Students, faculty members, and staff actively took part in the competition, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering holistic development alongside academics. In addition to the tournament, SGT University proudly acknowledged the remarkable achievements of its students at national and international sporting events. Mr. Anuj Yadav secured first place at the South Asian Badminton Championship, bringing international recognition to the institution through his outstanding performance.
Meanwhile, Ms. Muskan Chahal earned third place in the National Shooting Championship in the 10-meter pistol event, showcasing exceptional skill and dedication at the national level. Their accomplishments have been widely celebrated by the university administration, faculty, and fellow students.
