Indians Can Now Get UAE Golden Visa Without Property or Trade Investment
In a game-changing move, the United Arab Emirates has introduced a new nomination-based Golden Visa, eliminating the need for hefty investments in property or business for Indian applicants. This shift marks a significant relaxation from the earlier requirement of investing AED 2 million (INR 4.66 crore) in real estate or launching a large-scale business venture.
Now, under this new policy, eligible Indians can apply for the Golden Visa by simply paying a fee of AED 1,00,000 (approx. INR 23.30 lakh). Importantly, this new model is based on nominations and background evaluations, rather than wealth alone.
Rayad Group, a UAE-based consultancy, has been authorized to conduct the pilot phase of this visa program for India and Bangladesh, in collaboration with VFS Global. Rayad Kamal Ayub, Managing Director of Rayad Group, called it a “golden opportunity for Indians to secure a lifetime UAE residency”.
The nomination-based system includes thorough background checks, including anti-money laundering screening, criminal record verification, and a review of applicants’ social media presence and contributions in areas like culture, science, finance, professional services, and entrepreneurship.
Unlike property-based Golden Visas, which are revoked upon sale or division of the asset, this nomination-based visa is valid for life. Visa holders can also bring their family members, domestic help, and drivers, and enjoy complete professional freedom in the UAE.
Applicants can initiate the process from India without traveling to Dubai. One VASCO centre, authorized offices of Rayad Group, their online portal, and dedicated call centres are available for processing applications.
This initiative reflects the strengthening India–UAE partnership under CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement), effective since May 2022. The pilot phase is expected to see over 5,000 applications in three months, and may soon be extended to other CEPA signatory countries like China.
This development not only eases the process for aspiring residents but also opens new possibilities for professionals, entrepreneurs, and cultural contributors across India.
