Lecture on ‘Doctor Patient Communication, Clinical Leadership-A Doctor’s Perspective’ held

Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Faculty of Dental Sciences organized a lecture on Doctor-Patient Communication, Clinical Leadership-A Doctor’s Perspective”. Dr. Ruchi Gupta (BDS, MBA) Regional Medical Advisor at Abbott Healthcare was the guest speaker. The event was graced by the presence of Dean FDS, Dr. Omkar K Shetty.

Effective communication is a requisite skill for dentists. However, formalized training in this area is often unavailable for the dental community. As one approach to combat this problem, Abbott has developed certain modules on the art and science of communication and effective transmission’, doctor-patient communication, and clinical leadership. At the end of the lecture, the students felt more confident and prepared when communicating with their patients, professors, peer group, and in other areas of their personal and professional life.
