44th India International Trade Fair Opens at Bharat Mandapam
The 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) opened today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, kicking off a 14-day global trade and business showcase. Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada inaugurated the event, which this year carries the theme “Ek Bharat–Shreshtha Bharat,” emphasizing India’s cultural and economic unity.
This edition of the IITF features Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Bihar as partner states, while Jharkhand has been designated as the focus state. The fair brings together a wide range of business sectors from India and abroad, providing a platform that encourages both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) interactions.
A total of twelve countries, including the United Arab Emirates, China, Iran, South Korea, and Egypt, are participating in the event. Their stalls and exhibits offer visitors opportunities to explore international products, investment prospects, and trade collaborations.
Special arrangements have been implemented to ensure a smooth and safe experience for the large number of visitors expected during the fair. Enhanced security measures have been deployed throughout the venue, and first aid booths and ambulances are stationed for quick medical assistance. The organizers have also made provisions to facilitate access for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
The first five days of the trade fair are exclusively for business visitors and industry professionals. General public entry will begin on November 19. Tickets for the fair can be purchased through the official ITPO website, selected 55 Delhi Metro stations, and the Delhi Metro “Saarthi” mobile app.
Ticket prices vary depending on the day of visit. On business days, tickets cost ₹500. On regular days, adult tickets are priced at ₹80 and children’s tickets at ₹40. During weekends and holidays, adult tickets are ₹150, while children’s tickets are ₹60. Entry is free for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
The fair will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., but visitor entry will only be permitted until 5:30 p.m. each day to manage crowds and ensure smooth closing operations.
As one of the largest trade fairs in Asia, the IITF continues to serve as a significant platform for economic growth, innovation, global partnerships, and cultural exchange. This year’s edition is expected to attract lakhs of visitors and business professionals from across India and around the world.
