Department of Radiodiagnosis under Faculty of Medicine & amp; Health Sciences, SGT University Holds Hands-on Workshop

On 17th February 2022 The Department of Radiodiagnosis under the aegis of the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences organized a hands-on workshop to update the practical knowledge and skills of the post-graduates medical resident trainee doctors of SGT University Medical College. The Workshop was on ‘CT and MRI in Head and Neck Cases and in Neuro Cases’ at SGT Hospital auditorium. The workshop was conducted by an eminent radiologist & senior faculty of Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi Dr. Jyoti Kumar (Director-Professor, Department of Radiodiagnosis) and faculty of AIIMS, New Delhi Dr. Atin Kumar (Professor, Department of Radiodiagnosis and Interventional Radiology). Dr. Jyoti Kumar briefly explained finer intricacies of localising & interpreting various interesting abnormalities involving head & neck to specific compartments and diagnose them using a systemic algorithmic approach on CT & MRI, whereas Dr. Atin Kumar successfully crafted and delivered a systematic and holistic problem-solving approach towards interpretation of various interesting neuroradiology cases on CT & MRI. Dr. Reena Nayyar  (Executive Director) Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and Faculty of Nursing graced the occasion and delivered the welcome address and Dr. BB Sharma (Professor & HOD) Dept of Radiodiagnosis briefly explained the participants about the aims & objectives of the workshop. Dr (Brigadier) Chander Mohan, Director of Hospital Administration & Professor, Department of Radiodiagnosis moderated the proceedings and introduced the renowned expert and elaborated on the speaker’s achievements & his contribution to the field of radiology. The professionally enriching academic program ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Monu Sarin, Professor (Radiodiagnosis).
