Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Train Launched for 17-Day Char Dham Yatra
New Delhi, May 5, 2025 – In a significant boost to spiritual tourism, Indian Railways has launched the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Train for a special 17-day Char Dham Yatra, connecting major religious destinations across the country. The luxury train will cover a distance of 8,425 kilometers, offering devotees a comfortable and comprehensive pilgrimage experience.
The journey begins from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi on May 27 and includes stops at all four revered Dhams—Badrinath, Dwarka, Rameshwaram, and Puri. In addition to these, the itinerary also features visits to spiritual hotspots like Joshimath, Rishikesh, Konark, Kashi Vishwanath (Varanasi), Bhimshankar, and Trimbakeshwar.
This initiative is part of Indian Railways’ Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train scheme, aimed at promoting India’s rich cultural and religious heritage. The train offers modern amenities including air-conditioned coaches, onboard meals, and guided tours at every destination, ensuring a seamless and enriching journey.
According to officials, tickets for the Char Dham Yatra are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be booked via the official IRCTC website. The tour has been designed to cater to both elderly pilgrims and young spiritual seekers, combining convenience with devotion.
With this launch, Indian Railways continues to expand its efforts in religious tourism, creating unforgettable experiences for travelers across India.
