Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal heads high-level meeting with administrative secretaries

Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal directed to speed up the implementation of various schemes for increasing income by providing financial assistance to very poor families under Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana and prepare the outline of new schemes according to the members of such families and send the proposal to the government as well. Apart from this, he also directed that the success stories of the beneficiaries under this mission should also be given wide publicity, so that others are also motivated to take advantage of these schemes.

The Chief Secretary was presiding over a review meeting with the Administrative Secretaries, who are also the in-charges of the districts for implementation of this scheme, in connection with the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana through video conferencing here today.

Kaushal said that in view of the current global COVID-19 pandemic situation, the second phase of Antyodaya Gram Utthan Melas has been postponed. During this period the officers should expedite the process by coordinating with the banks for approval/sanction of pending applications. The Chief Secretary also directed to take appropriate action to provide training to officers and employees, placements and increase the income of the beneficiary families. Families who have applied for skill development should be provided employment opportunities by providing them training and their records should also be kept.

He also directed to prepare the outline of new schemes or to amend the earlier schemes according to the age limit, qualification or need of the beneficiary, if it is necessary, and then make a proposal and send it to the government as soon as possible. He said that the data related to implementation should be uploaded on the app and portal on regular basis.

He said that under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, the success stories of such beneficiaries, who have taken steps towards increasing their income by taking advantage of various schemes and self-employment, skills etc., should also be given wide publicity so that others are also motivated to take advantage of these schemes.

He said that as per the directions of Haryana Chief Minister, the families whose income and caste have been verified under Parivar Pehchan Patra, need not be verified again so that there is no delay in the implementation of the schemes.

Financial assistance provided to 30,192 families under Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana

During the meeting, Mission Director, Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana (MMAPUY), Mandeep Brar apprised the Chief Secretary that 156 Antyodaya Gram Utthan Melas were organized across the State, where 1,48,333 families with an annual income of less than Rs.1 lakh were invited after verification. During this, all the beneficiaries were given detailed information about various 54 schemes of 18 departments related to self-employment, wages, skill development etc.

He said that 95,341 families visited the Antyodaya Melas. Out of these families, 59,930 families were provided assistance by various departments, out of which 30,192 families have already been assisted. So far 274 loans have been sanctioned. Right now the counseling team is gathering information from the remaining families like their qualifications and what work they can do.

He said that special SOPs were prepared for organizing these fairs and according to these arrangements were made by the District Administration. Special help desks were set up at the fairs for redressal of queries of the beneficiaries. Simultaneously, zonal committees and counseling desks were also set up to share information about government schemes with the beneficiaries.

Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Vineet Garg and Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Vijayendra Kumar were present in the meeting.
