An oral health screening camp was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University on Sunday at village Bhimgarh Kheri, Gurugram in association with the SGT Publicity Team. This initiative was taken under the guidance of Prof. & Head and Associate Dean Dr. Shourya Tandon. The Dental team was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Tanvi Bhardwaj along with four post-graduate students, one intern, and one attendant. Total 40 patients were examined and 15 patients were treated in Mobile Dental Van, SGT University that included scalings, restorations, and extractions. Patients who further required dental treatment were referred to SGT University. Oral health education was imparted to the people and proper brushing technique was demonstrated. The general population gave positive feedback and appreciated the check-up and patient care provided by the Dental Team. They acknowledged the way the Dental team heard and attended to their problems with compassion, and the intern appreciated the opportunity provided to them to work in an outreach location and expressed their wish to participate in such activities in the future. The purpose of the Oral Health check-up was to create awareness among the community and to make them understand the importance of oral health.
