Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University holds oral health camp at Palra village

The Department of Public Health Dentistry of Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted an oral health screening and treatment program on 9th March 2022 at village Palra in association with  SGT Publicity Team.

The Dental team was headed by Dr Abhinav Bhargava  along with 3 Postgraduates Dr Taniya (Prosthodontics), Dr. Madhur (Periodontics) and Dr Lokesh (Oral Surgery) and 5 Interns  Pooja Verma, Pooja Yadav, Ranika Tanmay, and Preeti Yadav) and 2 attendants Mr Sunil and Mr Rajkumar. Specialist Clinical support was provided by the Department of Prosthodontics Periodontics and Oral Surgery. 45 patients were examined out of which 19 were provided dental treatment in the mobile dental van (19 Oral Prophylaxis). Patients who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT University for further procedures. Oral health education was imparted to the people.

The general population gave positive feedback and appreciated the check-up and patient care provided by the Dental Team. They acknowledged the way the Dental team heard and attended to their problems with compassion The interns and postgraduates appreciated the opportunity provided to them to work in an outreach location and experience the working of the mobile dental van and expressed their wish to participate in such activities in the future. The purpose of the Oral Health check-up was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health.
