Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, SGT University organises health camp at Chalka Village on World Kidney Day.

On Thursday at Chalka Village Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, SGT University organized a health camp. This health camp was organized on World Kidney Day. This day is celebrated to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease worldwide. In this camp, a team of doctors from the Faculty of Orthopedists, Ophthalmology, Paediatric, General Medicine, Dental, Gynecologist, and Surgery were present there and an additional laboratory was also there for collecting blood samples. During this camp Vice-chancellor, SGT University Prof. O. P. Kalra visited the camp and provided the information to patients on World kidney day. This camp was conducted under Nodal Officer Dr. Jagbir Malik and the activities in this camp were headed by Mr. Yogesh Yadav. In this camp, many patients availed the services of doctors and free medicines were prescribed and distributed to patients who attended the camp. Those patients requiring further treatment will be transported free to SGT Hospital.
