Faculty of Science, SGT University celebrates ‘International Women’s Day’

Faculty of Science, SGT University celebrated International Women’s Day on 8^th March 2022. The theme of this program was Gender Equality- today for a sustainable tomorrow. During this event Chairperson, SGT University Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla was the chief guest, Executive Director TIC Council, Gurugram Dr. Aparna Dhawan was the guest of honor, Professor and HOD, Department of Gynecology FMHS, SGT University Dr. Bindoo Yadav was the special invite in the program and Vice-Chancellor, SGT University Professor O.P. Kalra, Pro-Chancellor, SGT University Professor Dr. R.C.Kuhad and Dean FOSC, SGT University Professor Dr. LakhwinderSingh were the guests. The program began with lamp lighting by all guest presents. Dean FOSC and Vice-Chancellor, Prof O.P. Kalra conveys his heartiest wishes of International Women’s Day and highlights the role of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao movement in Haryana to improve the gender ratio, Pro-Chancellor, SGT University Professor Dr. R.C.Kuhad recalls Mahatma Gandhi and says that a nation is known for the respect it provides to its women. He highlights the importance of women’s education and gender equality in our society. The program also includes activities like talk on the topic Gender Issues Today and Gender Equality in Profession Life, it also includes games to make the program enjoyable.
