SGT University, Gurugram turns 9 this January, event remains a low-key affair due to Covid

On January 23, 2022, SGT University, Gurugram celebrated the 9-year anniversary of their foundation day. With the vision and mission, to provide quality education and build future-ready professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders for the country, SGT University has been working for the youth. The University’s Foundation Day falls on January 23 but the event remained a low-key affair time this year due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
SGT University- Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University was established by the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act No.8 of 2013 at Chandu-Budhera, Gurugram, Haryana, Delhi-NCR in January 2013. The University was started with the avowed objectives of adhering and propagating the message and the teachings of the tenth Sikh Guru, Shree Gobind Singh Ji which says, “the spread of the Gyan is the highest service to the mankind” and that can be achieved through specialized quality education. The university is dedicated and committed to achieving its vision, mission, and objectives through academic excellence in all spheres of knowledge.
SGT University spreads over 70 acres of lush green campus enveloped with a beautiful environment. The campus has been designed and developed with a great sense of aesthetics to provide an eco-friendly environment and ambiance to stimulate hunger for learning. The university, located in the national capital region of Delhi (NCR), is less than five kilometers from the Delhi border at Durala near Dwarka Expressway and has easy and convenient access from Indra Gandhi International Airport.
Ever since the establishment of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust with Head Office in New Delhi in 1999, the Trust has been dedicating its activities in the field of education and social services, particularly health education and services under the able guidance Padma Shri Ram Bahadur Rai with Smt. Madhu Preet Kaur as its Chairperson and the dynamic leadership of Shri. Manmohan Singh Chawla as its Managing Trustee. The Trust has set up SGT Dental College, Hospital and Research Institute in 2002, Dashmesh College of Physiotherapy in 2008, SGT Medical College, Hospital and Research Institute in 2010, SGT Institute of Engineering & Technology in 2010, SGT Institute of Allied Health Sciences in 2011, and Dashmesh College of Nursing in 2012.
SGT University, Gurugram provides an eco-friendly and aesthetic environment for teaching and learning. The infrastructure of the university includes 500 bedded hospital, labs, lecture halls, office space for Faculties, Auditorium, all the classrooms are spacious, well illuminated, and equipped with state-of art-multimedia teaching aids. The whole campus is WiFi-enabled and has developed a fully air-conditioned library with an internet facility for the students and equipped with national and international journals.
The University provides the facility of separate girls and boys hostels with round-the-clock security arrangements as well.
