SGT University Awards 249 Meritorious Students

SGT University organized a scholarship award ceremony for meritorious students from various departments. The university organized a motivational lecture on this occasion in which Padma shri Professor Dinesh Singh, former Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University and Director CLICK (Centre for Lateral innovation Creativity and Knowledge), SGT University participated as a guest speaker. Professor Dinesh Singh is a world-acclaimed mathematician and educationist. He is a distinguished fellow at the Imperial College, London, and has been an adjunct professor of mathematics at the University of Houston. Winner of several awards and distinctions, Professor Dinesh Singh was instrumental in setting up a Cluster Innovation Centre at Delhi University. In his addressing speech, He encouraged the students to move forward in life with determination and hard work. He stated that everyone had to decide their goal with hard work and will of strength. Some take time to realize their goal but when they realize it they pass every hurdle to reach their dream goal. To encourage the students, he gave a real-life example of Bhagat Singh who at a very early age decided to free Indians from slavery with the help of this example he made everyone understand the importance of determination and hard work which are stepping stones to get success. The main highlight of his speech was to have practical knowledge no matter if a degree is there or not. He also said that this is just the beginning and students should continue to work hard to reach a milestone. The scholarship was awarded in two categories: Meritorious Students and Haryana Domicile. The Ceremony started when he awarded students with scholarship with a message that they should work hard to get successful in life. Two hundred forty-nine students got the scholarship in the meritorious category of different faculty of SGT University. In Haryana Domicile Category Twenty-four students got awarded with scholarship worth rupees one lakh. The ceremonial event got concluded by presenting a vote of thanks to the guest speaker for giving his valuable time and motivating students.
