SGT University Faculty and Students Visit DRDO, New Delhi for Academic Excursion

In a significant academic endeavor, a delegation from the Faculty of Physiotherapy at SGT University visited the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in New Delhi. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with firsthand exposure to the latest advancements in research and innovation.

The delegation consisted of four esteemed Assistant Professors—Dr. Pooja Bhati, Dr. Aarti Gupta, Dr. Anushree Rai, and Dr. Himanshu Gakhar—along with 47 enthusiastic students eager to explore cutting-edge developments in research and technology. The visit offered an invaluable opportunity to interact with top scientists and researchers at DRDO, providing deep insights into ongoing projects and breakthroughs in defence and medical research.

During the visit, students were introduced to various advanced research methodologies and technological innovations developed at DRDO. They received an overview of the organization’s contributions to national security, particularly advancements in medical and rehabilitation sciences with direct applications in physiotherapy and healthcare.

Faculty members emphasized the importance of such visits in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. “This visit was an eye-opener for our students, as they could witness how research is translated into real-world applications. It has motivated them to explore new avenues in research and development,” remarked one of the faculty members accompanying the students.
