SGT University Welcomes Ghana Delegation for Academic Exchange
SGT University in Gurugram welcomed a delegation from Dr. Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine (NCHM) in Ghana. This visit aimed to promote international exchange, knowledge sharing, and explore future collaboration opportunities.
The event was organized by the School of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (SNYS) at SGT University, in partnership with the Office of International Relations. The visiting group included faculty members and students from NCHM, who spent the day observing the university’s academic and clinical learning environments.
The program began with a welcome session at the TV Studio in B Block, where the delegation met senior representatives from SGT University. This session included an introduction to NCHM and its delegates, followed by a welcome address from the Dean of the School of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences. The Dean highlighted the significance of international academic interaction and the role of knowledge sharing in enhancing holistic and integrative healthcare education.
The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of SGT University also addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic connections between countries. The discussions focused on creating meaningful opportunities for students and faculty to learn from one another and explore new avenues for cooperation.
As a gesture of welcome, Dr. Reshu, Additional Dean of International Relations, presented a memento to the visiting faculty representative. The inaugural session concluded with a group photograph of the delegation alongside SGT University representatives.
Following this, the delegation toured several university facilities, including the Medical and Nursing Simulation Lab, Anatomy Lab, Naturopathy Wellness Center, and Ayurveda Hospital. These visits allowed the delegates to engage with faculty members and understand the link between academic learning and practical, clinical experience.
During the visit, both sides discussed potential areas for academic collaboration, student engagement, and knowledge exchange, including the possibility of academic credit transfer, subject to the respective institutions’ policies and regulations.
The visit provided a valuable platform for students and faculty from India and Ghana to connect beyond the classroom, sharing perspectives on naturopathy, holistic medicine, and integrative healthcare. It also paved the way for ongoing academic dialogues between the two institutions.
The program concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing interest in continuing discussions and exploring mutually beneficial opportunities for future collaboration.
