SGT University’s Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management celebrate cake mixing ceremonies

The Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management of SGT University organized a cake mixing ceremonies in its Ambrosia Restaurant to mark the ushering in of Christmas celebrations.
A large quantity of dry walnuts, cashews and other dry fruits went into a cauldron after mixing them with Rum, wines and juices.
University Vice Chancellor Dr OP Kalra, Pro VCs Dr Vinod Kumar and Dr Vikas Dhawan, Registrar Dr Joginder Singh, Dean of the Faculty Dr Susanta Ranjan Chaini and several others faculty members joined the task of cake mixing donning gloves and Christmas caps.
“These soaked fruits and nuts are kept in a tight container till Charismas. The flavours of the ingredients merge to form a special flavour and aroma,” explained the organizers of the event.
The history of cake mixing dates back to 17th Century in Britain.
Since then, it is being observed in Britain as we as in several other countries of the world.
