SGT Naturopathy and Yoga OPD inaugurated

Gurugram : The inauguration of SGT NATUROPATHY AND YOGA HOSPITAL was held on 30th August 2022 by

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Pro Chancellor, Dr. OP Kalra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Vikas Dhawan, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics), and Prof. Sumer Singh Yadav, Advisor. Prof. Rajneesh Wadhwa, Dean, International Affairs, Dr. Surendra Pal Singh Kochar, Dean, Faculty of Medical Health   Sciences, Prof. Sanjay Kumar Pandey, Dean, Faculty of Law, Dr. Asha Gandhi, HoD, Physiology Department, Dr. Madhulekha Bhattacharya, HoD, Community Medicine, and Senior Faculty members from Indian Medical System were also present in the program beside the students of BNYS.  

Dr. Drishti Saini, RMO, SGT Naturopathy and Yoga Hospital formally welcomed all the dignitaries present on the dais and the participants from various faculties and departments, colleagues and students and apprised them about the treatment facilities available in the OPD. Thereafter, Dr. Rajiv Rastogi, Dean, Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Science welcomed the Guests with garland and plant saplings. He described the importance of Naturopathy and Yoga in healthcare sector and also in the management of NCDs. He motivated everyone to   actively take care for their health and wellbeing through Naturopathy and Yoga practices.

Dr. OP Kalra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor in his address emphasized upon the importance of living a healthy lifestyle by implementing Yoga and Naturopathy in day-to-day activities. He suggested that this OPD should make best efforts to work for the benefit of suffering mankind. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Pro Chancellor appreciated the efforts of making the OPD functional. Dr. Vikas Dhawan, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics) gave insight about these systems and said that Naturopathy and Yoga systems are a part of our culture and tradition. Prof. Sumer Singh Yadav, Advisor said that he is very much convinced regarding the benefits of Naturopathy and Yoga systems.  

The program proceeded with the visit of different sections of OPD by the guests and dignitaries accompanied by Dr. Alok, Asstt. Professor, Dr. Anuja, Lecturer, Dr. Kanchan, Lecturer and ended by vote of thanks given by Dr. Tokika Yepthomi, Lecturer, FNYS.
