SGTU holds physiotherapy assessment, treatment camp for cricketers

Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT University, Gurugram, organized a visit to the cricket academy at Sultanpur for assessment and free treatment of budding cricket players.
A team comprising doctors, postgraduate students, and interns led by Dr. Himanshu, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Akshay Mann, an intern, and Aarti, Mukesh, and Varun, all PG students, assessed the players and provided them treatment according to their needs at Gurugram Cricket Academy, Sultanpur (Haryana Cricket Association), said Dr. Aditi, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Physiotherapy.
Dr. Himanshu said that it is very important for cricket players to stay fit and fine during games as their performance depends on their fitness. He said that injury can happen in any sports and physiotherapy helps the sportsperson to heal completely in a stipulated time.
Dr. Himanshu further said that more than 10 cricketers were assessed free of charge and they were advised how they can stay away from an injury using techniques while playing on the ground. The cricketers appreciated the efforts of the University in holding the camp.
