The Faculty of Dental Sciences conducts an oral health screening program for school children at GAV International School, Gurgaon.

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted an oral health screening program for school children on 5th December 2022 (Monday) at GAV International School, Gurgaon. The activity was collaborated by SGT Marketing Admissions Team and apart from Dental Sciences even a team from Allied Health Sciences participated.

The Dental team was headed by Dr. Shourya Tandon (Associate Dean and Professor & Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry) along with 2 postgraduates Dr. Vidhi (Postgraduate student, Department of Orthodontics), Dr. Neha Yadav (Postgraduate student, Department of Pedodontics), 6 Interns Savari, Samridhi, Sneha, Swati, Tanisha, Shweta and 1 attendant Mr. Sunil. 

A total of 224 students from various classes were examined which included 100 boys and 124 girls. An oral health talk session was delivered which included the importance of brushing, procedure of mouthwash usage and oral hygiene instructions. 

The team also interacted with the principal of the school and highlighted to them the importance of Good Oral Hygiene and updated the dental needs of their school children who were screened on the day. Students who required dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental hospital for further treatment.
